This meeting is part of the activities of UNEP OzonAction's Regional Montreal Protocol Network for Europe and Central Asia (ECA network). There will be simultaneous interpretation in English – Russian will be provided.
UNEP OzonAction will briefly present the agenda, introduce the topic and refer to guidelines of the Executive Committee to request funding for the preparation of HFC phase-down plans (or so-called Kigali HFC implementation plans = KIPs).
Energy-efficiency experts from the RACHP sectors will present the status, trends and the potential contribution of energy-efficiency policies and legislation, and energy-efficient technologies to energy conservation, climate protection and cost savings. Besides the invited experts, participants include Montreal Protocol and RACHP experts from ECA / CEIT countries, bilateral partners, partner agencies and secretariats and interested colleagues/experts from other regions.
