This meeting is part of the activities of UNEP OzonAction's Regional Montreal Protocol Network for Europe and Central Asia (ECA network). Simultaneous interpretation in English – Russian will be provided.
During the first part of the meeting, Montreal Protocol experts and the representative of the World Customs Organization will share their experiences and view on banning non-refillable containers to prevent illegal trade and to avoid refrigerant emissions. In the second part, ECA network and associated CEIT countries will have the opportunity to share information on their recent activities related to HCFC phase-out, HFC phase-down, HFC preparatory projects and World Ozone Day activities. Besides the invited experts, participants include Montreal Protocol experts and stakeholders from Article 5 and associated CEIT countries, bilateral partners, and partner agencies.

2) Ban on non-refillable containers in the European Union and how it has been implemented in Poland – Mr. Janusz Kozakiewicz, Industrial Chemistry Research Institute of Poland.
3) Romania’s experience of banning non-refillable refrigerant containers – Ms. Claudia Dumitru, Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests of Romania.
4) Customs role in supporting the enforcement of the Montreal Protocol – example of the ban on non-refillable cylinders – Ms. Anna Kobylecka, World Customs Organization.
5) North Macedonia’s experience introducing the ban on non-refillable containers – Ms. Emilija Kjupeva-Nedelkova, Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning of North Macedonia.
6) Turkey’s experience introducing the ban on non-refillable containers – Mr. Onur Orhan, Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of Turkey.
7) Briefing by ECA network and associated CEIT countries on highlights, challenges and achievements (continued from previous meetings (Belarus, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Turkmenistan).
